Milan Design Week 2026: Insights and Impressions

Space Four | Moscow | Saint-Petersburg

As part of our Dialogues format, we held a series of talks at the Space Four venues in Moscow and Saint Petersburg, dedicated to unpacking the standout impressions from Milan Design Week 2026.

Daria Talalaeva, owner and CEO of the company, shared her observations on the development of the industry as a whole and outlined the key trends that set the tone for the event. Particular attention was given to:

  •       A fresh take on Mid-Century Modern aesthetics;
  •       Unconventional venues for presentations — historic and otherwise closed-off architectural sites;
  •       Current color palettes and their connection to trends in the fashion world;
  •       The increasingly visible convergence of design and contemporary art.

In summary, success today is defined not only by the quality of materials and craftsmanship, but also by a brand's story, its dialogue with art, the uniqueness of the surrounding space, and each object's ability to stir emotion.

This year also saw the EuroCucina biennale take place as part of MDW, once again demonstrating that the kitchen is no longer an isolated technical zone but an organic part of the living space — with an emphasis on fluid forms, tactile natural materials, the seamless integration of technology, and the blurring of boundaries between the kitchen and the rest of the home.

During the exhibition days, the Arclinea factory (Space Four is the brand's official dealer) presented a number of new products at its Milan showroom, with a particular focus on curved (radius) kitchen islands.

Milan Design Week is a key international platform for design industry professionals. Every year, MDW features presentations by leading brands, conceptual installations, and discussions on the future of object and interior design.
